A native of Monroe, Louisiana, Henry Florsheim brings nearly 25 years of experience in economic development and chamber leadership, with a strong track record of forging strategic partnerships and driving community success.

Florsheim holds a degree in Business Management from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and an MBA from Louisiana Tech University. He is also a graduate of the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute and an alumnus of Leadership Louisiana, Leadership Arkansas, and Leadership North Texas. Additionally, he received the IOM designation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute of Organization Management, a rigorous four-year program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

His commitment to professional growth and service is reflected in his leadership roles. Florsheim recently chaired the Southeast Institute’s Board of Regents at the University of Georgia. He has also served on the boards of the Texas Association of Business, the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives, and represented the United States Air Force nationally through the Air Education & Training Commander’s Civic Leaders Group. Further highlighting his dedication to innovation, he completed the U.S. Chamber Foundation’s Business Leads Fellowship, which focuses on advancing education and workforce development nationwide.

Throughout his career in economic development and non-profit management, organizations under Florsheim’s leadership have secured more than $1 billion in capital investment for their communities and earned numerous national and statewide awards for marketing and economic development excellence.

A creative problem-solver at heart, Florsheim also values family and community. He and his wife Kimberly have six children and have opened their home as foster parents to many other children in need.
