Cedar Hill has been honored with the prestigious American Planning Association (APA) Texas Community of the Year 2025 award. This recognition is part of the State Planning Awards, which celebrate Texas’ most outstanding planning projects, advocates, and communities.

The Texas Planning Awards Program highlights exceptional achievements in planning and leadership across the state. Nominees were evaluated by the Awards Selection Committee on originality and innovation, community engagement, implementation and effectiveness, quality, and the promotion of planning.

This award represents the highest level of planning recognition in Texas. Cedar Hill’s efforts showcase best practices in community planning that will serve as a model for other communities across the state and nation.
